Global Sweeteners Holdings Limited (the “Company”) and its subsidiaries (collectively referred to as the “Group”) are principally engaged in the R&D, production and sale of corn refined products and corn sweeteners,categorised into upstream and downstream products. The Group’s upstream products include corn starch, gluten meal, corn oil and corn refined products. Corn starch is then refined to produce various corn sweeteners which are classified into two categories:corn syrup (glucose syrup, maltose syrup and high fructose corn syrup) and corn syrup solid (crystallised glucose and maltodextrin).
The Group is one of the largest corn sweeteners producers in terms of capacity and production volume in the PRC, with an annual production capacity of 1,500,000 metric tonnes of corn refined products and 1,360,000 metric tonnes of corn sweeteners. Our customers come from different sectors, including food and beverage, confectionary, daily products, fermentation and chemical industries, as well as cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.
As the business of the Group grows, demand for corn, the raw material for the Group’s production, increases with rising production needs. In 2011, the Group took a step further to secure corn supply and lower its corn procurement costs by launching its corn procurement & logistics operation at corn origination regions.
Our subsidiaries are strategically located in Shanghai and Jinzhou, in proximity to local raw material supply, convenient transportation and customers. These advantages together with the consistent quality of our products enable us to continue to consolidate and develop new markets at home and aboard.
